It comes from a long aging process. This lasted eighteen months, seven of which were spent in barrels. Not from new barrels of course, Burgundy barrels of three wines from the best oaks in the Tronçais forest. This cuvée receives the different red grape varieties of the estate: merlot 60%, cabernet sauvignon 35% and negrette 5%. A trilogy of grape varieties, the dominant one being Merlot.
With a supple and silky attack on the palate, this cuvée expresses with refinement and fullness aromas of very ripe black berry fruits. A spicy finish, liquorice and pepper brings originality and complexity to the whole. This cuvée has analytical characteristics which suggest real aging capacities. A very nice bottle to be enjoyed decanted and slightly chambered. A light deposit at the bottom of the carafe or of bottle is completely natural. It is the pledge of a wine which, to better preserve its richness, has only undergone a very light filtration.
