A mythical Domaine, an immense and great red wine for aging!
By including both sauvignon and syrah, Eloi Dürrbach builds a wine with fresh, elegant and vibrant tannins, tailored for all truffle-based dishes. Carried by a strong aromatic complexity, this at the same time fleshy, silky and digestible cuvée is above all a wine of balance if there is one!
The Trevallon estate is located in the town of Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, 25 km south of Avignon and 7 km west of Saint-Rémy-de -Provence, on the northern slope of the Alpilles. A limestone massif with jagged ridges evoking "Greek rocks" as the Provençal poet Frédéric Mistral wrote. The vines are perfectly integrated into this bewitching garrigue landscape. It rubs shoulders with holm oaks, olive trees and almond trees.
The first thing that grabs the visitor, when arriving at the Trevallon estate, is this limestone rock, of a dazzling white, with exploded shapes, silhouetted against a bright sky in a transparent atmosphere. The contrast is also impressive between the vines drawn with a line and the wild folding of the rock. “The Alpilles are a magical place,” admits Eloi Dürrbach. I literally fell in love with it ”.
The Trevallon vineyards extend in this living and unspoiled nature over 20 ha scattered around a farmhouse with sky blue shutters: 15 ha of reds made up of equal parts of cabernet sauvignon and syrah. And 2 ha of whites made up of 45% Marsanne, 45% Roussanne and 10% Chardonnay.
