Saint-James started his story thanks to the intervention of the Reverend Edmond Lefebure, he was then superior father to the convent of the Brothers of Charity and chemist at heart. He soon discovers the potential of spirits distilled near his hospital and undertakes to make it himself ... It produces remarkable rums and their attribute called "Saint-James".

This vintage of 1998 is in line with the 1997 and 1999 Single Cask editions. This rum is the result of the close collaboration of Marc Sassier (Oenologist) and Gilbert Bolinois (Cellar Master) of the famous Sainte-Marie distillery. It was put in small oak barrels (Quercus Alba) of 200 liters on December 31, 1998 to be bottled on April 29, 2016. This cuvée originates, as the name suggests, from "one barrel" ( "single cask" in English). Finally, a long reduction allowed to refine the richness of its profile, while maintaining its intensity, up to the degree of marketing: 42.9 °.

Sincerely, one of the most beautiful vintages of Saint James. During a tasting at the Clos des Millesimes, all the guests futs under the spell of the power and character of this great rum. A must have :)
