At the start of 2005, Oliver Haag took over the family estate and, accompanied by his wife Jessica, tried to perpetuate the know-how of Maison Haag. Today, the estate covers an area of 19 ha including 12 ha in Juffer and Juffer Sonnenuhr. Previously, Oliver trained in various fields such as Helmut Dönnhoff (Nahe) and Weingut Karthäuserhof (Ruwer. After a stay at Mont du Toit in South Africa (project by Bernd Philippi and Bernhard Breuer), he joined the Wegeler Family in Oestrich-Winkel. He thus became head of culture for 5 years before returning to Mosel in 2005. Since then, Oliver has continued the philosophy of his father - Wilhelm Haag, born in 1937 - producing fine, fruity and delicate Rieslings. The estate is located in the heart of the Mosel, in the village of Brauneberg, opposite the 2 classified growths Brauneberger Juffer and Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr. Oriented due south on schist soil, the Juffer and Juffer Sonnenuhr wines cover 32 ha and 10.5 ha respectively, the latter being in the central part of the vineyard, where the slope can reach 80% in certain places. Riesling, the king grape of this region, offers this terroir a unique diversity in the world: from dry wine stretched to slightly fruity wine, including noble rot, Oliver Haag succeeds in offering us a range of wines combining finesse, purity and nobility.
All the spirits offered are in stock and also available in our store at 3 rue Lucien Faure in BORDEAUX - Line stop B/7/32 Cité du vin
