The domain of Jobeline is located in the heart of Burgundy Verzé (Macon). It covers an area of 11 hectares planted with 90% white grape varieties such as Chardonnay (80%) or Aligoté (10%) and a red varietal, the Gamay. Today, Pierre Maillet has been in charge of the farm since 2004. In fact, there have been some important changes since it was taken over in 2004 with the creation of a winery in 2014 and the transfer to cultivation. reasoned for more qualitative vines registered in a process of preservation of their environment. This wine of old vines of Gamay on the vintage 2017 owes its name 16 ares to the surface of its parcel of birth, a small parcel of 16 ares planted at 380m altitude around 1961. The lower yields of these old vines allow to obtain concentrated juices that will be macerated cold for 1 week for optimal extraction of its most beautiful aromas. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine will be aged in French oak barrels for a 1-year aging during which the malolactic fermentation will take place naturally at the end of winter.
