Located on a clay-limestone terroir dominating the right bank of the Dordogne, this area stands out as one of the driving forces behind the renewal of Bergerac. Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal vinify lively and pure wines, with intense expressions and great freshness.
“RACINE” Vin de France Red - 2017 - no SO²:
“Racine” is the new presentation of the old label of the “Class IK” cuvée, born in 2004 which won several medals and cited by the press (La Revue du Vin de France, Gault et Millau des Vins, Pointn Cuisine and Vins de France...). Vinified naturally with its own yeasts without adding anything, it is then kept on its fine lees, in Burgundy oak barrels for 18 months and bottled without fining or filtration to preserve all its qualities and complexity. A powerful red wine, on black fruit, spices, with a beautiful structure. Neither chaptalised, nor yeasted, nor fined, sasn SO², this wine has an important aging potential which demonstrates considerable work in the vineyard followed by careful “natural” vinification which leaves no room for the flaws in precision sometimes encountered. in “sulfur-free” wines.
Grape varieties: Merlot Noir 50%. Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.
