Domaine Frantz CHAGNOLEAU - Clos Saint Pancras 2019
The Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau is located in the Mâconnais, in Burgundy. The 6.8-hectare vineyard is managed by Frantz Chagnoleau and Caroline Gon with a strong respect for the environment, run according to the principles of organic farming. In the cellar, they are using minimal intervention. The wines ferment with indigenous yeasts and after alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, they are kept on their lees.
Le Clos Saint Pancras is a Mâcon-Villages from a 3.55-hectare plot on a clay-limestone soil exposed to the East. This Chardonnay is aged in oak casks and in Burgundian pieces (around 15% of the total) and then aged on the lees for 9 months.
