Château Simone - Blanc 2018
Château Simone is located in the commune of Meyreuil, in the small appellation of Palette in Provence. It has been owned by the Rougier family since 1830. Its exposed location on the northern slopes of the Montaiguet massif, in a cirque protected from the winds and crossed by the Arc river, makes it benefit from a special microclimate. It is influenced by the biodiversity of the forest environment, the moisture supply from the river and its mass of greenery, the direction and attenuation of the force of the winds.
Château Simone Blanc is a blend of Clairette (80%), Grenache Blanc (10%), Bourboulenc (5%), Ugni Blanc (3%) and Muscat Blanc (2%). The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand, at full maturity with sorting of the grapes. The grapes are lightly crushed and then pressed. Aging lasts 18 months in small oak casks, including 6 months on fine lees and then 1 year in barrels before bottling.
Grape varieties: 80% Clairette, 10% Grenache Blanc, 5% Bourboulenc, 3% Ugni Blanc, 2% Muscat Blanc
