Elixir Distillers was established as Specialty Drinks in 1999 by brothers Sukhinder and Raj Singh, who also launched the Whisky Exchange retail website the same year. The company changed its name to Elixir Distillers in 2017. 'The Single Malts of Scotland' is a range of Single Malt whiskies produced by Elixir Distillers since 2005. Each edition is carefully selected from the casks of Elixir Distillers originating of the six whisky producing regions in Scotland. Only casks considered to have achieved the required quality and character will be bottled under the name The Single Malts of Scotland.
The Imperial Distillery was a producer of Single Malt whisky located in Carron, Speyside that operated sporadically between 1897 and 1998. Imperial was mothballed and reopened several times in its hundred-year history. It was demolished in 2013 and a new distillery, Dalmunach, established on the site in 2015. This version was distilled on the 2ndof October 1998, it was aged in a single barrel (#103328) for 21 years and bottled on the 26th of March 2020. Only 104 bottles have been produced.
