PLANTATION - Sainte Lucie 2010 - Single Cask - Bottled 2021 - 53.2%
The history of Plantation begins in 1989 when Alexandre Gabriel discovered Maison Ferrand in Cognac. He surrounds himself with a team of enthusiasts and travels around the world to establish a distribution network sharing the same values and the same vision as Maison Ferrand. In the 1990s, he set off for the Caribbean with the idea of reselling some of his used Cognac barrels to other producers, notably rum producers. In search of the best rums in the Caribbean, he created Plantation, a range of terroir rums. Today, the House is focused on three great spirits: Cognac Ferrand from Grande Champagne, French Gin Citadelle and Rum from Terroirs Plantation. Plantation also owns West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados, and is a shareholder of National Rum of Jamaica (Clarendon Distillery and Long Pond).
This Plantation was distilled in 2010 at the Saint Lucia Distillers distillery on the island of Saint Lucia where it aged for 10 years in ex-Bourbon casks. It is then aged for another 3 years in Maison Ferrand's Ambré casks. This rum contains 451 g / hLPA.
