GLENALLACHIE - 10 ans - Cask Strength - Batch 6 - 57.8%

The GlenAllachie is located at Aberlour, in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was built in 1967 and the distillery began its first production run with the capacity of producing almost three million litres of alcohol in February 1968. In 1985, the distillery was mothballed. Campbell Distillers (later part of Pernod Ricard) acquired The GlenAllachie Distillery and production recommenced on April 24^th; this was the start of 29 years of uninterrupted production. The Distillery was branded as the Home of Clan Campbell Whisky. In 2005, Chivas Brothers launched a GlenAllachie Single Malt whisky as part of the Cask Edition Series. Since 2017, Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson have come together to acquire the GlenAllachie Distillery and form The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited, bringing with them over 100 years of industry knowledge and expertise.

GlenAllachie 10 years-old Cask Strength was created by chance in 2017; whilst reviewing parcels of stock from 2007 and 2008, the master distiller Billy Walker was so delighted by the balance and depth of the samples that he immediately decided to add this younger expression to the core range. The GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 6 is a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry puncheons along with a small quantity of Virgin Oak and Rioja casks.
