Nobilis Rum is an independent bottling company located in Denmark .

This edition was distilled at the Uitvlugt Distillery in Guyana in 1989, in the Port Morant still. It has been aged for 31 years, and only 219 bottles have been bottled from this single cask.

Uitvlugt is a village in Guyana , based on the west bank of the Demerara River, but the name is Dutch. The Dutch-owned Uitvlugt distillery was established around 1750, housing double wooden stills that produced rum high in esters. However, in 1975 the government began to privatize the sugar plantations and distilleries, which led to the closure of Uitvglut in 2000. The only remaining distillery in Guyana is the Diamond Distillery, which acquired the stills from Uitvlugt .
