Maison Dolin is located in Chambéry, in Savoie . For more than 200 years, two families have succeeded each other at the head of the company: the Chavasse/Dolin family and the Sevez family. The distillery has gone through the significant events of History, such as the reunion of Savoy with France, the Great War or the bombings of Chambéry in 1944. It has kept old- fashioned manufacturing methods by finding its inspiration in the mountains of the Alps and drawing from their richness the ingredients to develop original recipes still kept secret today. Dolin has always favored local plant growers , helping them to develop certain crops of endangered wild alpine plants (genepi, vulnerary, etc.). They choose label, cardboard or glass suppliers located near Chambéry, and the rare products that are not made in the workshop (lemonade, Savoie apple juice) are processed less than 30 km from the establishment.

The Vermouth Rouge has sweet scents of stewed fruit, prune and nuts with a herbaceous note, tempered by spicy aromas such as Sechuan pepper and aromas of almonds and citrus fruits, pear and cinnamon with hints of gingerbread and tobacco, oregano and hyssop. It serves as the base for Negroni and Manhattan cocktails.
