José Cuervo is a Tequila brand founded in 1795, now run by the Mexican Beckmann family , descendants of Don José Antonio de Cuervo. It was the brand of choice when Tequila Sunrise became very popular. The drink's rise to prominence has been credited to major Rock and Roll bands and is the top-selling drink in the world.

Tequila is produced from the largest agave farms in the world, in the fields around the Tequila Volcano. After seven years of maturation, the agave plants are harvested and their stones, or “piñas”, are sent to the La Rojeña distillery. There they are roasted, ground and crushed. The extract obtained is placed in fermentation tanks. Finally, it is distilled and aged in toasted barrels.

Tequila Platino is made from blue agave . During bottling, a special process is used to retain its flavor at freezing temperatures. It must be kept in the freezer and eaten chilled.
