XOP The Black Series is an extension of the Xtra Old Particular Single Cask Scotch Whisky brand. Each bottle is filled by hand and features an embossed metallic label, a glass stopper and the handwritten signatures of Fred and Cara Laing. A black moleskin box bears a certificate of authenticity alongside the whiskey bottle.
This edition was distilled at the North of Scotland Distillery, a grain whiskey distillery near the Highland town of Alloa which closed in 1980. This Single Grain was distilled in December 1970 , and aged in a refill cask until bottling in January 2021. 215 bottles were produced.
