Paul John - Classic Select Cask - 55.2%

Paul John is a brand of Indian whiskey produced by John Distilleries . John Distilleries is based in Bangalore, India , and its Single Malt distillery is located in Goa. Paul John Single Malt Whiskey was first launched in 2012 in the UK, then Goa in 2013, and Bangalore in 2015. The company had been making blends since 1996 and Single Malt Whiskey from 2008, in the aim of entering the high-end market. Master distiller Michael D'Souza has chosen to use Indian ingredients in the manufacture of his Single Malts, to give the whiskey the characteristics of its country of origin. Goa features a tropical monsoon climate and a hot and humid climate for most of the year. The tropical climate of Goa ripens liquid faster than colder climatic regions.

Paul John whiskey is made from 6 row Indian malted barley and, for some variants, peat imported from Islay and Aberdeen, distilled in traditional copper pot stills, then aged in charred American oak barrels .

Paul John Classic Select Cask is aged in first fill Bourbon casks for 6-7 years.
