Champagne La Borderie - Cuvée Trois Contrées
The Domaine La Borderie is located in Bar-sur-Seine, in the Côte des Bar in Champagne . The estate was founded by Odile and Jean-Louis Normand , taking over the vineyards of their parents Marie-Louise and Jean Normand and Henriette and Charles Piconnet. Rocked from an early age in respect for nature and the effervescence of Champagne, Marie and Simon , two of the five Normand children, decided to continue the adventure and entrusted to them by their parents in 2013. The vineyard extends on 11 hectares, with geological diversity and exposure. They cultivate the 3 major grape varieties of the Champagne appellation (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier) as well as the rarest Pinot Blanc. The estate pays great attention to respecting biodiversity : abandonment of herbicides and insecticides and reduction of inputs to their strict minimum, establishment of hedges, trees in the heart of the plots and plant cover, installation of nesting boxes for birds and bats -mice or planting an orchard.
