Holyrood Distillery - New Make Spirit - Brewers Series n°3 - Chocolate Malt - 60%

The Holyrood Distillery is located in the city center of Edinburgh , Scotland . It opened on July 30, 2019. As the whiskey production has not yet been finalized (the minimum aging being 3 years), the distillery markets New Make, rums and Gin. A “ New Make ” is the alcoholic liquid with a high degree of alcohol that is released from the still during the production of spirits. It can be sold either completely unaged or with minimal aging. This allows whiskey lovers to fully appreciate the spirit before it is aged in barrels.

Chocolate Malt is the third release in the Brewer series and focuses on Chocolate Malt. This specialty malt is heavily roasted, adding cocoa-rich dark chocolate flavors. Chocolate Malt is traditionally used for brewing dark beers, Porters and Stouts.
