Château COUTET 2019
Château Coutet is located in Saint-Emilion , in Bordeaux . It has belonged to the David Beaulieu family for over 400 years, and the terroir has never been chemically treated. The Château is now managed by Alain David Beaulieu , his nephew Adrien and his son Matthieu. The vineyard obtained organic farming certification in 2012. The estate is divided into three plots; on the Saint-Martin plateau, La Côte de Franc and Le Pied de Côte.
Château Coutet is a blend of 4 ancient grape varieties: Merlot à Queue Rouge, Bouchet (Cabernet Franc), Prayssac (Malbec) and Cabernet Sauvignon whose average age is around 40 years. After the manual harvests, fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels and vats .
Grapes: 60% Merlot à Queue Rouge, 30% Bouchet (Cabernet Franc), 7% Prayssac (Malbec), 3% Cabernet Sauvignon
