Von Winning - Riesling - Ungeheuer 2020

Weingut Von Winning is located in the region of Pfalz , Germany . The estate was founded in 1849 by Doctor Andreas Deinhard . His son-in-law, Léopold von Winning , took control of the estate in 1907 and raised the quality and profile of the wines. The estate changed hands in 1918, and its name was changed to Weingut Dr. Deinhard. It was not until 2009 that the old domain name was taken over. He was also a founding member of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikats). Today, wines are produced under both the Von Winning and Dr. Deinhard labels. Weingut von Winning owns 64 hectares of vineyard, 85% of which are planted with Riesling. Sustainable viticulture is implemented in the vineyards.

Ungeheuer GG is located in Forst and is made up of sandstone, limestone and basalt on the slope above Forst. The wine is entirely fermented in oak barrels and aged on the lees for 18 months .
