TAYLOR'S - Porto - Fine White
The Maison de Porto Taylor’s is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the south bank of the Douro River, opposite the city of Porto, Portugal . It was founded by Job Bearsley in 1692 and is one of the oldest founding houses in Port. The company today is run by the Yeatman family , who have been involved in the business for over 200 years. The wines are produced from grapes mainly sourced from vineyards located in the Douro Valley, where the climate and soil are ideal for the production of Port wines. Taylor's is also involved in the production of still wines in the Douro region and also has vineyards in other wine regions of Portugal, including the Alentejo region.
The Fine White is made from a blend of white Port wines aged for an average of three years in oak barrels. It is a sweet and fortified wine usually served chilled as an aperitif or dessert wine.
