Horgelus - Colombard Sauvignon 2022
Horgelus is a wine estate located in Montreal, in the Gers . This region, renowned for centuries thanks to its Armagnac, today reveals itself as one of the most promising French appellations thanks to the increasing quality of its local wines. The estate was created in 1978 by Joseph Le Menn , of Breton origin. It is today managed by Yoan Le Menn , his son. The property extends over 90 hectares of vines, and more than 30 hectares of woods and meadows.
Sables Fauves is a blend of Colombard (75%) and Sauvignon Blanc (25%) , grown on a terroir of sables fauves and boulbènes. The grapes are harvested in the morning to preserve the freshness of the aromas and limit oxidation as much as possible. After direct pressing, the wine is aged in stainless steel vats .
