The El Jolgorio brand of Mezcal is produced by Casa Cortés , in Oaxaca, Mexico . The Cortés family has been producing Mezcal since 1840 and has helped improve manufacturing processes. Now represented by the fifth generation, the family is present at all stages, from planting to distillation. The company is committed to preserving traditional production methods and the culture of local communities in the region. She works closely with local producers to produce mezcal sustainably, using environmentally friendly methods and contributing to local economic development.

This Mezcal is made from Tobasiche maguey, of the Karwinskii agave variety. The Karwinskii agave is a relatively large and sturdy plant that can take up to 12 years to reach maturity. The harvest took place in 2017, and 165 bottles were produced for this ^10th edition.
