Château LA FLEUR PEYRABON 2005
Château Peyrabon is located in Pauillac , in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux . It has belonged to Patrick Bernard since 1998 and three wines are produced within the 50 hectare estate. The wines are classified Cru Bourgeois .
La Fleur Peyrabon is the Château’s second wine. It is made from 7 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot vines. The grapes are vinified in concrete vats and stainless steel vats. The wine is aged in barrels, with a proportion of new oak. The 2005 vintage for Bordeaux was exemplary : a warm start to the growing season saw both successful bud break and flowering. After a dry spell, humidity arrived at just the right time, with soothing rains in August and September, followed by warm, sunny days and cool, refreshing nights, which were crucial in preserving essential acidity and aromas.
