SAVANNA - Trad G - High Ester - Batch TG.04.22 - 69%
The Savanna Distillery is located on Reunion Island . It was designed and built by Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950. At the time, located in Saint Paul, it was annexed to the sugar factory of the same name. In 1982, the Savanna Distillery acquired a distillation workshop whose production was intended only for the manufacture of light rum for export, following the signing of a major rum supply contract with a German customer leader in its market. This acquisition was, for Distillerie de Savanna, the driving force behind the development of its rum technology, which multiplied, from that year on, the diversification and quality of its production. Today, the Savanna Distillery exports the majority of its rum production to professionals. Like many rum factories, the Savanna Distillery is equipped with a batch fermentation , also called a “mother tank” process, made up of 8 100 m 3 fermenters and all of its satellites. This discontinuity is synonymous with obtaining a high quality product.
This Savanna Trad G is a limited edition released in 2023. This traditional rum was distilled in 2021 from Bois Rouge cane molasses, the fermentation of which lasted 6 days. It has an ester content of 248 g/hLPA. 4,000 bottles were produced.
