Mitchell & Son is Ireland's oldest wine and spirits merchant. Behind every Whiskey Spot lies a long history: Mitchell & Son aged its whisky in casks beneath the streets of Dublin, in its network of underground cellars. When Their fortified wine casks were filled exclusively with Jameson spirits from the old distillery on Bow Street, and were marked with a spot of paint indicating the length of time the casks had been matured: blue for 7 years, green for 10 years, yellow for 12 years and red for 15 years, hence the name Spot Whiskey.

Inspired by the original Yellow Spot , this Single Pot Still Whiskey has been aged for a minimum of 12 years in a combination of American Bourbon, Spanish Sherry and Malaga wine casks .
