Château Le Puy - Emilien - Magnum 2021
Château Le Puy is located in Libourne , Bordeaux . It has belonged to the Amoreau family since 1610 and is now managed by the fifteenth generation, with Jean-Pierre and Pascal Amoreau . The vineyard now covers 51 hectares divided into three plots. From 1990, they began research into maturing their wines without the addition of sulfites. These wines, made from perfectly sorted grapes, which are not sulfited, yeasted or chaptalized during fermentation, are aged for 24 months without the addition of sulfur dioxide. They are therefore aged by stirring according to a precise lunar calendar ( certified biodynamic breeding since 2012 ). These wines are the pure "Original Expression of the Terroir", as indicated on the label.
Emilien is a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (7%), Cabernet Sauvignon (6%), Malbec (1%) and Carménère (1%) , obtained by decanting for 2 years in used tuns and barrels.
