Renegade (Rum)

Renegade Rum Distillery is the latest project from the man behind the renaissance of Islay’s Bruichladdich Single Malt whisky and the Irish-based Waterford distillery: Mark Reynier . He chose Grenada because of its wide range of altitudes, microclimates and soils. Working with CaneCo’s farming partners, he has been able to grow many varieties of sugarcane across the island on the different terroirs. Old and young, skilled and amateur, many Grenadians have learned new skills, mastered modern machinery and transformed parts of the island into high-quality sugarcane farms.
