Burgundy is produced in the departments of Yonne, Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire and Rhône.
It is a regional AOC, so it is common to the entire Burgundy vineyard; it includes fourteen names (bourgogne-montrecul, bourgogne-Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune, etc.) and four products (white, clairet, red, nouveau or primeur).
