RUM LONGUETEAU - Very old rum - Concerto - Batch 1 - 47,2%
The Longueteau family arrived in Guadeloupe in 1766, it was towards the end of the 19th century that Louis-Philippe Henry Longueteau acquired part of the Marquisate of Sainte-Marie, then put up for auction following a crisis of the sugar industry. A few years later, in 1895, he decided to purchase the Esperance home to move from being a sugar factory to a distillery.
Today it is François Longueteau who takes care of the house, the only distillery of Guadeloupe whose owner is at the same time the farmer and the master distiller. His rums are 100% derived from his own sugar cane. The juices are harvested and crushed the same day to their full maturity, following a 48h fermentation "without special effects" (no antifoam, no acidifying or other additions ...), the juices are then distilled in a column Savalle 28 trays.
The new range of Rhums Longueteau Harmonie comes in three references "Prélude" (amber rum), "Symphony" (old rum) and "Concerto" (very old rum). Like all the novelties, she had to wait for the approval of the entire Longueteau family (so François and his sons Nicolas and François). The Harmonie range is the result of two years of reflection that will have resulted, among others, in this rum Concerto; a Full Proof published in 1400 copies.
Concerto, a name that evokes a form of musical composition and is reminiscent of the link that the composition of a rum can be equally subtle and artistic. A rum that aims for harmony between flavors and aromas to convey a vibrant passion of emotion. To do this, it took longueteau 50 ° white rums of different precious vintages, aged in new oak barrels and in ex-Cognac casks.
All the spirits offered are in stock and also available in our store at 3 rue Lucien Faure in BORDEAUX - Line stop B/7/32 Cité du vin
