Vines have been found for a long time at Château la Colombière, but it was in 1984 that things started to get serious. It is Diane Cauvin's father who restructures the estate and sells the wine in bottles. In 1998 Diane joined him and learned the profession of winegrower with him and it was finally in 2005 that Diane and her husband Philippe took sole control of La Colombière.
In 2005 Diane and Philippe launched the conversion to organic farming of the 17 hectares of the estate and were certified in 2007. At the same time, they began to apply biodynamic methods which are still in use, of course.
On the cellar side, the work is definitely in the direction of respect for fruit, freshness and drinkability. In red as in white, manual harvesting, natural vinification, no wood.
The wines have sparkle at Château la Colombière, they are brilliant, precise and fine. They are the expression of their grape variety and their terroir, without interference.
