Located on a clay-limestone terroir overlooking the right bank of the Dordogne, this area stands out as one of the locomotives of the renewal of Bergerac. Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal vinify live and pure wines, with intense expressions and a great freshness.
"RACINE" Red Wine of France - 2016 - no SO²:
"Racine" is the new presentation of the old label of the vintage "Class IK" born in 2004 several times awarded and quoted by the Prese (The Wine Review of France, Gault and Millau wines, Pointn Cuisine and Wines of France...). Vinified naturally with its own yeasts without adding anything, it is then preserved on its fine lees, in oak barrels for 18 months and bottled without sticking or filtration to preserve all the qualities and complexity. Powerful red wine, black fruit, spices, with a nice structure and crispy. Neither chaptalized, nor yeasted, nor glued, sasn SO², this wine has a significant aging potential that demonstrates considerable work in the vineyard followed by a careful "natural" vinification that leaves no room for the defects of precision sometimes encountered in "sulfur-free" wines.
Grapes: Black Merlot 50% .Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.
