Domaine des Huards - Pure 2018
Domaine des Huards is located in Cour-Cheverny, in the Loire Valley. Winegrowers at Domaine des Huards since 1846, the Gendrier family has been leading the vineyard according to organic and biodynamic farming practices since 1998. From 1922, the family has been making wines from the Romorantin grape variety. In 1950, four hectares of vines were cultivated, mainly made up of the Romorantin grape variety. In the 1960s, the emphasis was on the evolution and growth of the vineyard. Today, the estate is managed by Jocelyne and Michel Gendrier.
Pure is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The grapes are pressed gently and the deposit is left to settle. Fermentation takes place between 18 and 20°C with natural yeasts. Racking takes place at the end of the fermentation process. The wine is aged on fine lees.
