RHUM LONGUETEAU - Punch Planteur - 1 Litre - 16%
The Longueteau family arrived in Guadeloupe in 1766, but it was not until the end of the 19th century that Louis-Philippe Henry Longueteau acquired part of the Marquisate of Sainte-Marie, put up for auction following the crisis of the sugar industry. In 1895, he bought the Habitation Espérance to change the domain from sugar refinery to distillery. Today, François Longueteau manages the House, the only distillery in Guadeloupe whose owner is both the farmer and the master distiller.
His rums come entirely from his own sugar canes. They are harvested and crushed the same day at full maturity. Following a 48-hour fermentation without inputs, the juices are distilled in a Savalle column with 28 trays.
The Longueteau Planteur Punch is handcrafted from fruits carefully harvested on the estate of the Marquisate of Sainte Marie. The fruits macerate for several weeks in Longueteau 50° agricultural rum.
