Isle of Raasay - Gin Hebridean - 46%
Raasay Distillery is located on the Isle of Raasay, in the Hebridean islands of Scotland. The distillery produces two products: Isle of Raasay Gin and Isle of Raasay Whisky. All spirit is distilled, matured and bottled on the island using mineral-rich water from their well, Tobar na Ba Bàine (meaning ‘Well of the Pale Cow’). Raasay distillery supports local jobs on the island.
Isle of Raasay Scottish Gin is the first legal spirit from Raasay, an island rooted in centuries of illicit distilling. It is made from triple-distilled spirit combined with 9 botanicals; Raasay juniper, sweet orange peel, lemon peel, rhubarb root, angelica root, coriander seed, liquorice root, orris root and cubeb pepper. Local botanist Dr Stephen Bungard helped the team at the distillery to hand-pick only the finest Raasay juniper on the island. The creation and presentation of this Gin is inspired by Raasay’s impressive geological variety, the unique water source, the island shores and state-of-the-art distillery.
