Maison Aurian - Grand Armagnac 1985 - Wu Dram Clan Selection - Single Cask - 44.6%
Maison Aurian is located in Condom, in the Gers in the Armagnac region. All the ingredients used are natural: wines, alcohols, extracts and infusions of plants and fruits made on site, distillates and aromas. Aware of the ecological issues, they make it a point of honor to recycle their waste. During the manufacture of the products (particularly after the maceration and pressing of the fruit), the residues are recovered and sent to the “Biogas” methanization plant in Auch with the aim of producing green electricity using biomass. A rainwater harvesting system is under construction and the installation of solar panels is being studied. Today, Maison Aurian is one of the few trading houses which, in the tradition of the great Condomoises houses, buys Armagnac just distilled from winegrower owners who have part of their harvest distilled in a traveling distiller. By choosing not to distill their Armagnacs, each year they ensure superior quality for their spirits and their vintages, because they select the best among their partners each year.
This 1985 Armagnac was selected by the Wu Dram Clan . The Wu Dram Clan is a group of independent bottlers from Germany. It was created by Takesado from Japan, Boris from Munich and Sebastian from the Black Forest in Germany. Their philosophy is to put quality first and they bottle only meticulously selected spirits. They produce a wide range of Scotch whiskeys, cognac, armagnac and rums.
