The captivating story of Old Brothers began in 2004, when the deep friendship between Anthony Martins and Julien Leroux was forged during their joint service in the French Army, through multiple international missions conducted together. With training from the Paris Wine School and holding a sommelier caviste diploma, Anthony Martins launched in December 2015 "La Source", an exceptional spirits cellar located in Toulouse. This ambitious project quickly evolved into the creation of an independent bottling company, founded in November 2016. Anthony and Julien travel the globe in search of the finest distillation expressions, bringing back rare and unique rums from the most prestigious distilleries. Each Old Brothers bottle is carefully hand-numbered with artisanal care: the plant fiber twine adorning the neck is meticulously placed by themselves. The label, attached with a delicate ribbon, is sealed with a wax stamp bearing a compass logo, symbolizing their travels and explorations around the world, reflecting their passion for exceptional spirits.
FWI Batch 3 is an evocative acronym standing for Foursquare and West Indies. Foursquare, a famous distillery located in Barbados, symbolizes the excellence of West Indies rums, a terroir managed by the prestigious Maison Ferrand (Plantation). This Old Bajan rum is a subtle blend composed of a mix distilled in column stills (70%) and pot stills (30%), from rigorously selected molasses. Fully aged under tropical climates in barrels previously containing Bourbon, this exceptional blend comes from 7 carefully selected casks. This exclusive edition produced 2,622 numbered bottles, each embodying the artisanal know-how and quality standards of Old Brothers.
