Ferrari - Metodo Classico - Raw
Cantine Ferrari is located in the region of Trentino , in the north of Italy . The estate was created in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari , with the dream of creating a wine in Trentino capable of competing with the best French Champagnes. It produces Metodo Classico wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under the title Trento DOC . In 1950, Giulio Ferrari passed on his estate to Bruno Lunelli , a wine merchant in Trento. Thanks to his passion and entrepreneurial talent, Bruno Lunelli managed to increase production without ever compromising on quality. The third generation of the Lunelli family now runs the company. Ferrari works with many winegrowers in the mountains of Trentino (500 hectares out of the 800 hectares of the appellation), and also operates some of its own vineyards (100 hectares). All Ferrari wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown at high altitudes using sustainable farming methods and all Ferrari vineyards have organic certification. In 2015, Ferrari won first place in the Champagne and Sparkling Wines World Championship, beating Champagne Houses Charles Heidsieck and Louis Roederer.
Ferrari Brut is made from Chardonnay from various municipalities in Val d'Adige, Val di Cembra and Valle dei Laghi, in south-east and south-west facing vineyards on the slopes of the Trentino mountains. It is aged 24 months on lees .
