Domaine Philippe Tessier - Cheverny Blanc 2020
Domaine Philippe Tessier is located in Cheverny, in the Loire Valley . The 26-hectare family estate covers the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny appellation areas. Philippe Tessier took over the estate in 1981 which his father Roger created in 1961. In February 2020, Simon, Philippe's son took over the management of the estate. The vineyard has been certified in organic farming since 1998. In the vines, no chemical input is used to keep the soil alive with a numerous and varied flora and microbial fauna. In the cellar, vinification is carried out without technical artifice: no yeasting, enzyming or chemical correction.
Cheverny Blanc 2021 is a blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Menu Pineau , from young vines. The harvest is put into direct pressing, the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occur in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged in stainless steel and concrete vats .
