Fernet-Branca - Italian Bitter - 39%
Fernet-Branca is an Italian bitter , invented in 1836 by Bernardino Branca. It is a herbal alcoholic drink with a very bitter taste, especially recognized as a remedy for headaches and other symptoms of a state of high intoxication. It contains, among other things, gentian, rhubarb, aloe, chamomile, rue, angelica, saffron, and is aged for one year in casks.
Fernet-Branca can be drunk as an aperitif, digestive, or as a cocktail in a Hanky Panky for example.
