Domaine Giraud - Lirac - Les Sables d'Arene 2021

Domaine Giraud is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the southern Rhône . It was created by Pierre Giraud, son of winegrowers, and his wife Mirelle, whose family owned the village distillery. In 1974, they decided to exploit 4 hectares of vines in sharecropping. They produced their first vintage in 1981 after having transformed the old family distillery into a cellar for the vinification and aging of their wines. They expand the vineyard over the years and then pass it on from 1998 to their children Marie and François . They are involved in a work of parcel selection, renovation of the cellar and begin a process of conversion to organic farming from 2008. Today, the 35 hectares of the estate are certified in organic farming .

Les Sables d'Arène is a blend of Grenache whose vine age is around 60 years (60%), Syrah (20%) and Mourvèdre (20%).

Grapes: 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre
