The El Jolgorio brand of Mezcal is produced by Casa Cortés , in Oaxaca, Mexico . The Cortés family has been producing Mezcal since 1840 and has helped improve the manufacturing process. Today represented by the fifth generation, the family is present in all stages, from planting to distillation. The company is committed to preserving traditional production methods and the culture of local communities in the region. It works closely with local producers to produce mezcal in a sustainable way, using environmentally friendly methods and contributing to local economic development.

This Mezcal is made from maguey Barril , of the Karwinskii agave variety. The Barril Agave is a relatively large and hardy plant that can take up to 12 years to reach maturity.
