The El Jolgorio brand of Mezcal is produced by Casa Cortés , in Oaxaca, Mexico . The Cortés family has been producing Mezcal since 1840 and has helped improve manufacturing processes. Now represented by the fifth generation, the family is present at all stages, from planting to distillation. The company is committed to preserving traditional production methods and the culture of local communities in the region. She works closely with local producers to produce mezcal sustainably, using environmentally friendly methods and contributing to local economic development.

This Mezcal is made from maguey Jabalí , of the Convallis agave variety. Convallis agave is difficult to work with; It foams and expands during fermentation and distillation, which can damage stills during distillation. The harvest took place in 2021, and 210 bottles were produced for this ^6th edition.
