La Belle Cabresse - White Rum - 50%
La Belle Cabresse is an iconic range produced by the renowned Distillerie Saint Maurice, located in Saint-Laurent-Du-Maroni in French Guiana. A historic distillery, it is today the only remaining active distillery in Guyana, whereas the region once had up to 18 during the colonial era. Originally, it was called a Sugar Refinery Distillery spanning 16 hectares, founded in 1935 by the visionary Georges Prévot. In 1980, the modern company Rhums Saint Maurice was created, marking a decisive turning point, while sugar production ceased in 1988 to focus entirely on rum production. To this day, the estate covers 100 hectares of carefully cultivated sugarcane, and the distillery underwent significant modernization completed in 2014, thus ensuring optimal quality. The packaging of La Belle Cabresse has been completely redesigned while preserving its cultural heritage with the iconic figure of the "Chabine," a Guyanese woman wearing a madras headdress, a symbolic element rarely used by agricultural rum brands due to its strong identity connotation.
This White Rum made from pure sugarcane juice is precisely distilled in a modern column still, ensuring remarkable finesse and purity of aromas. This agricultural rum offers an authentic and traditional experience that will delight enthusiasts and connoisseurs seeking an exceptional product reflecting the unique terroir of French Guiana.
