La Belle Cabresse - White Rum - 50%
La Belle Cabresse is a range produced by Distillerie Saint Maurice , located in Saint-Laurent-Du-Maroni in French Guiana . Today, it is the only distillery in French Guiana, although there were up to 18 during the colony. Originally, it was a 16-hectare Sucrerie Distillery, founded in 1935 by Georges Prévot . It was only in 1980 that the current Saint Maurice Rhums company was created, and the sugar refinery activity was abandoned in 1988. Today, the estate has 100 hectares of sugar cane fields and the distillery has experienced major modernization work completed in 2014. The packaging of La Belle Cabresse has been remodeled, while retaining its historical imprint; the “Chabine”, a Guyanese woman with her madras headdress from which more and more agricultural rum brands are turning away for its strong connotation.
This pure cane juice White Rum was distilled in a column still.
