Damien Laureau - The Alliance 2022
Domaine Damien Laureau is located in Savennières in the Loire Valley. Damien Laureau chose to settle with his family in Anjou in 1999. After a few years in Ste Gemmes-sur-Loire at Clos Frémur as a winegrower and arborist, Damien refocused on vineyard work in 2006. Agricultural engineers, Damien and Florence Laureau run their business with a permanent concern for respecting and promoting the Savennières terroir with certification in organic farming .
L'Alliance is made from Chenin Blanc from several micro-terroirs of sand and sandstone shales in Savennières. This cuvée was previously called Petite Roche but has changed its name since the 2019 vintage has included the juices from the young Pitrouillet plot, planted in cups and worked with horses. Alcoholic fermentation and aging are carried out on lees , in stainless steel vats for 12 months .
