RHUM HSE - Confrérie du Rhum - Cuvée n°22 - 2024 - Brut de Fût - Double Vintage 2016 & 2017 - 48.2%

HSE ( Habitation Saint Etienne ) was known as Habitation La Maugée and dates from 1863. It was then a Martinique sugar factory, but Amedée Aubery converted it into a distillery when he bought it in 1882. This young Captain of Industry then modernized the buildings and supplied the estate with energy thanks to the Lézarde river, which is still used today to dilute sugar cane juice.

In 1994, Yves and José Hayot bought the property after the receivership of the former owners and carried out new renovation work in the house. The property is then classified as a Historic Monument . Saint-Etienne rum is distilled in a traditional Creole copper column at the Simon distillery located in François (Martinique).

This edition of HSE is an extra old rum selected and assembled in collaboration with the teams at La Confrérie du Rhum . It is a blend of 2016 and 2017 , aged in barrels and bottled in May 2024.
