HSE - White Rum - Vintage of the Year 2000 - Bottled in 2004 - 50%
HSE ( Habitation Saint Etienne ) was known as Habitation La Maugée and dates from 1863. It was then a Martinique sugar refinery, but Amedée Aubery converted it into a distillery when he bought it in 1882. This young Captain of Industry then modernized the buildings and supplied the estate with energy thanks to the Lézarde river, which is still used today to dilute sugar cane juice.
In 1994, Yves and José Hayot bought the property after the receivership of the previous owners and carried out new renovation work in the house. The property was then classified as a Historic Monument . Saint-Etienne rum is distilled in a traditional Creole-type copper column from the Simon distillery located in François (Martinique).
This edition of Cuvée de l'An 2000 was bottled in 2004 .
The label on this bottle has a slight tear.
