TEQUILA - OCHO - Vintage 2024 - Blanco - Tierras Negras - 40%
Tequila Ocho is made in Mexico . The brand was created in 2008 by Carlos Camarena (a farmer for 5 generations and a Tequilero for 3 generations) together with Tomas Estes, the man responsible for exporting the tequila culture to Europe. Each bottle of Tequila Ocho showcases a unique terroir and is crafted from the Weber blue agave plant.
Located in the community of "La Parada" (the stop) in the municipality of San Ignacio Cerro Gordo, this historic site was in the 17th century a horse changing station for travelers moving between haciendas. Although it was exclusively used for cattle pasture, this is the first time agave has been planted and harvested in this field. This mostly flat terrain has a slight slope to the east and is composed of stones, cacti, huizache and other desert shrubs. The clayey and gray color of the soil gives this field its name of "Tierras Negras ".
