This vineyard was established on the slopes of Montaigu during the 13th century by the monks CHARTREUX. In 1794 the family PIGNIER acquires the domain of the monks as national property.
Today, Jean Etienne, Antoine and Marie Florence represent the 7th generation of winemakers, continue the tradition and have chosen to work their vineyard bio dynamically since 2002.
They offer the full range of Jura wines in the COTES DU JURA appellation: White wine from Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes, Poulsard red wine, Trousseau and Pinot noir, Crémant du Jura and Macvin, Vin Jaune and Straw wine from the best terroirs from the village of Montaigu.
Sauvageon is the old local name of the Savagnin grape (wild Jura vines). This new cuvée is therefore from a savagnin ouillé and aged 12 months in ovoid tank (egg).
Beautiful fruity expression and great aromatic richness typical of the grape variety.
All the spirits offered are in stock and also available in our store at 3 rue Lucien Faure in BORDEAUX - Line stop B/7/32 Cité du vin
