SAVANNA - Rhum hors d'âge - 15 ans - Grand Arôme fût 931 - Port Cask Blend - 49,2 %

Initially, Domaine Savanna, located in Saint-Paul (La Réunion) at the foot of the mountains, became a candy factory in the early nineteenth century. The Savanna distillery was born a little later, the fruit of the will of Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950. This former student of the École Centrale des Arts et Manufactures de Paris was an international figure in the sugar industry. From 1982, a contract enabled the Savanna distillery to raise the quality of its production in high-end rums, a recognised quality which would have to be the first European distillery to be ISO 9002 certified. 

Made from the blend of two great aroma rums, one aged in Cognac barrel, the other in Porto barrel and matured together for a year and a half in a Cognac barrel, this version is the fruit of collaboration between the distillery cellar master, Johnny Landais and La Maison du Whisky.
